Spa house rules

1. All the facilities of the SPA can be used only of own risk and responsibility.
2. Entrance to the SPA area is possible only with valid entrance tickets.
3. The entrance “watch” and ticket issued at the cash desk are valid only on the day of the issue and entitle to one entry.
4. Guests will be informed about the actual prices and opening hours on a board next to the main entrance and from the price list.
5. Children under the age of 6 and children who are unable to swim under the age of 14 may enter the SPA only if accompanied by an adult.
6. The SPA cannot be used by: febrile patients, infectious patients, guests with open wounds, drunk guests, persons under the influence of drugs or intoxicants.
7. The use of relaxation pools, thermal pools are contraindicated in the following cases: severe heart, circulatory and respiratory failure, incontinence, malignant tumor disease, acute inflammatory disease, tuberculosis, thrombosis, severe varicose veins, and pregnancy.
8. The use of relaxation pools and thermal pools are not recommended under the age of 14!
9. Recommended maximum stay in the relaxation pools and thermal pools is 30 minutes.
10. The jacuzzi can accommodate up to 8 people at a time.
11. Certain treatments are available only based on medical examination, advice.
12. The instructions of lifeguards and pool guards must be followed by all bathers.
13. Use of showers and footbaths are mandatory before using the pools.
14. The relaxing beds in the SPA area can be used as intended purpose by all Guests free of charge. The relaxing beds are available only till our stock lasts.
15. Smoking is allowed only in the designated smoking areas of the SPA, next to the Buffet on the terrace and next to the main entrance! Smoking inside the building is completely forbidden!
16. Food consumption allowed only in the restaurant area and on the outdoor terrace.
17. Using of sharp and fragile objects in- and around the pools are FORBIDDEN and carries risk of an accident.
18. Pets are not allowed in the SPA area, except for blind guide dogs.
19. In the SPA area use of slippers is obligatory.
20. The slide can be used for everyone at their own risk. The slide can be used only for those guests, who reach a shoulder height of 100 cm. Pools deeper than 1.5 meters – where the deep water sign is marked – can be used only by our guests who are able to swim.
21. Outdoor and indoor children’s pools are suited for children only. Adults should only be in the pools when justified.
22. The services of Sauna world can be used only with sauna – and combined tickets.
23. Use of photo and video recording equipments (camera, camcorder, mobile phone) in the saunas are not permitted.
24. In case of buying a Family ticket, the beneficiary can be only 2 adults, the parents, the grandparents or legal representatives of the child(ren).
25. We do not take any responsibility for damages or accidents resulting from the fault of the Guest or the improper use of the facilities.
26. By perception of any extraordinary incidence – personal injury, fire, presence of an accidental device or object – please notify the staff.
27. Pools should be used only in appropriate swimsuits!
28. In order to protect your valuables, please use our safe deposit lockers. We do not take any responsibility for items placed in lockers or left unattended in the SPA area.
29. The equipments of the facility shall be used according to their intended purpose. Whoever causes damage intentionally or through careless behaviour, the Operator may demand compensation for the damage. Anyone attempting to use a service without redeeming a ticket may face infringement proceedings initiated by the Company.
30. A person staying in the SPA area illegally (without a valid ticket) may be required to pay a surcharge of HUF 5,000 in addition to the daily ticket. In case of littering and pollution in landscaped areas, as well as in pools, beyond the costs of cleaning and water purification, an additional fee of HUF 5,000 may be charged.
31. The Customer Book (Complaint Book) is available to Guests at the reception. According to the relevant rules the Operator’s director is obliged to investigate the complaint, remarks and proposals, or to act on the basis thereof. For other comments, the Guestbook is available to Guests.
32. Please do not disturb the other guests’ tranquility with loudness or immoral behavior! Those who despite repeated warnings do not follow the SPA House rules may be asked to leave by the lifeguards and pool guards.
33. Keeping the House rules is mandatory for all Guests staying in the SPA area.
34. Use of the services constitutes the simultaneous acceptance of House rules.
35. It is FORBIDDEN to wear street shoes in the pool area!
36. The cash desk closes 1 hour before the end of the opening hours.
37. Please leave the pools 15 minutes before closing.

Wellness World house rules

The Wellness World includes the following: wellness reception, corridor (passage to the upper terrace of the pool area), changing rooms with showers, massage rooms, naturist sauna area (saunas, common areas, Japanese pool, Kneipp stepping pool, Cork relaxation room), Cleopatra relaxation room.

1. Everyone may use the services of the Wellness World for their intended purpose, at their own responsibility and risk.
2. The saunas may be used according to the sauna rules posted on site and on the website.
3. The Wellness World’s massage treatments are available for a separate fee. The description of the massages and the price list are available on our website, at the wellness reception and at the reception.
4. Slippers are mandatory in the changing and shower area, in the corridor and in the sauna lobby. Slippers are forbidden in all saunas except the steam cabin!
5. People with fever or infectious diseases may not enter the sauna area.
6. With the entrance ticket every guest receives 1 sheet at the wellness reception. Each additional sheet costs HUF 400, payable at the reception. The price of a sauna programme/session does not include a sauna sheet!
7. Children under 16 may not enter the naturist sauna area.
8. The Rose sauna is a naturist sauna reserved for women!
9. The changing rooms and the corridor are not naturist areas, so intimate body parts must be covered here (with a bathrobe, towel, sauna sheet or sauna clothing)!
10. In the saunas of the naturist sauna area swimwear is not allowed; a sauna sheet or sauna clothing is mandatory.
11. Please always cover the parts of the sauna benches that touch your body with the sheets provided by the spa! Bare skin contact with the sauna benches is forbidden!
12. For hygiene reasons the relaxation whirlpool (Japanese pool) may only be used without swimwear.
13. Guests of the Wellness World can drink unlimited water from the dispenser in the relaxation room.
14. Please report any technical or operational problems to our colleagues as soon as possible so that they can be fixed quickly.
15. In the Wellness World it is FORBIDDEN:
    • to smoke or drink excessive amounts of alcohol,
    • to pursue any activity outside the scope of the Wellness World’s services, against the law or offending public morals,
    • to bring in any dangerous or flammable substance and/or object (explosives, pyrotechnics, weapons), fragile material or object (e.g. glass), or animals.
16. Mobile phones, cameras and any device capable of recording images or sound may not be taken into or used in the sauna area!
17. The Wellness World’s services may be used during opening hours (unless the operator has given prior permission otherwise).
18. Guests of the Wellness World must leave the area in time for closing. The spa closes at 20:00. Please leave the sauna area by 19:45.
19. If these house rules or generally accepted rules of behaviour are disregarded, our colleagues may warn the guest and, if that is ineffective, ask the guest to leave. In cases beyond the staff’s authority, the management may request the help of the police or other authorities, whose instructions everyone involved must follow. A guest expelled for breaking the rules has no claim against the operator.
20. In the Wellness World all guests must keep order and cleanliness; respect for other guests, civilised behaviour, avoiding noise and letting others rest are basic expectations.
21. Aquasziget Esztergom assumes no responsibility for injury to persons or damage to property caused by not following the House rules or by guests’ irresponsible behaviour. Nor does it assume responsibility for items left in the Wellness World or in the lockers. Please use our safe deposit lockers.
22. In all other matters the general house rules of Aquasziget Esztergom apply.
23. These Wellness World house rules are posted in the Wellness World and available on the website for every guest using the services.
24. Using the services also means accepting the house rules.
25. The management of Aquasziget Esztergom may amend or supplement these house rules at its own discretion.

Sauna programmes and sauna etiquette

1. Ask about the participation fee for sauna programmes and steam infusions at the Wellness World reception.
2. The sauna programmes take place in the Finnish sauna of the Wellness World, the steam infusions in the steam cabin.
3. Only healthy adults over 16 may take part.
4. Infusions are attended without swimwear, only in the sheets provided by Aquasziget, because:
   • swimwear does not conduct heat as well as human skin;
   • swimwear is mostly synthetic, and the skin underneath can break out, redden or even become inflamed;
   • for the chocolate infusion everyone gets a disposable sheet, as chocolate body wraps cannot be washed out of other textiles.
5. Participants receive the accessories (salt, honey, etc.) from the sauna master. More effective cosmetics can be bought at the wellness reception.
6. Showering and cooling the body down after the programme are strongly recommended.
7. Use the sauna and the steam bath without swimwear and slippers!
   • In the sauna's extreme heat (94 °C) we should not breathe in chemicals evaporating from wet swimwear (algaecide, chlorine, etc.). For the same reason slippers stay outside, as their glue and plastic also evaporate in the heat.
   • Synthetic swimwear heats up more, absorbs sweat and hinders the skin's natural defence (heat builds up).
8. Enter the sauna with a dry body!
   • On a wet body sweating starts later and with more difficulty, as the wet surface draws heat away. So don't drip water on the floor or the benches either: it cools the sauna slightly and can disturb others.
9. Spread the sheet fully over the sauna bench!
   • Sit so that there is a sheet under your feet too, so your sweat does not drip onto the bench or onto others.
10. In a crowded sauna or steam bath don't shake off your sweat, as it can drip on others.
11. If the “Please do not enter!” sign is up, the infusion has already started: opening the door disturbs the sauna master and the other guests.
12. Only leave a sauna programme or steam infusion if you feel unwell, and once out, don't go back in, as that disturbs the programme.
13. Showing strong emotions is not appropriate in a public sauna or steam bath.
14. Leave the place tidy after the sauna and steam bath so that others can relax too.

Fitness room house rules

1. The fitness room of Aquasziget Esztergom Spa can only be used at the guest's own risk and responsibility.
2. Children under the age of 16 may only stay in the fitness room under parental supervision.
3. When entering the room, the condition of the machines and equipment must be checked. Any technical error, unsafe conditions or damaged equipment must be reported immediately to the staff who will take appropriate action.
4. Use exercise machines, dumbbells, and equipment only for their intended purpose, and at your own risk and responsibility according to your health, shape and fitness.
5. Before entering the fitness room, the guest must fill out a declaration, in which they accept, acknowledge and comply with the rules of the fitness room and their contents.
6. After use, please put the machines, tools and dumbbells back in their place and return them to their original position.
7. It is strictly forbidden to drop the dumbbells on the floor.
8. To maintain hygiene and a pleasant environment, please use towels and after use, disinfect the affected surfaces of machines and devices.
9. Drinks can only be brought in bottles with a lid, please refrain from bringing in food!
10. In the event of an accident, inform the staff immediately.
11. Appropriate sports clothing (sports shoes, singlet, T-shirt, sports pants) is always required in the fitness room. Training in slippers, sandals or bare feet is not allowed. The use of street shoes is prohibited.
12. Before starting the training, a thorough warm-up is recommended.
13. We do not take responsibility for items left in the room.
14. Whoever damages the equipment is liable for the damage.
15. Please refrain from using mobile phones in order to safely continue sports activities and to avoid disturbing the peaceful exercise of others.
16. The capacity of the fitness room is 8 people.
17. Any employee can ask the guest to use the equipment in the room properly.

Ignorance of the rules does not exempt anyone from complying with them.
